It stands 59.89 meters high, and is one of the tallest pagodas in southern China. The four sides of the interior wall, with a thickness of 4.2 meters, also have doors. In the center of the pagoda is the little chamber which was originally used to place Buddhist Statues. Online retailer Amazon.com has purchased the development firm behind the most popular eBook reader application for Apple's iPhone in a bid to extend its reach of the digital book market beyond its Kindle device. The old saying "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" comes into play here.
